Wow, what an opening to this year's E3! Aside from all the great new games being showcased, covered by pretty much every gaming network imaginable, everybody is talking about the big unveil that occurred this morning. I'm talking of course, about....

And I didn't think they could possibly surpass the sweet Dante's Inferno trailer. It's hard to find a company as diverse as Electronic Arts, who can take you to the seventh level of hell, and then give you the most kick ass pajama party ever.

Alright, I've wasted enough bandwidth. We all know the real story today was the Microsoft Press Conference, full of exciting demos and new announcements.
Some key games to look out for were Forza Motorsports 3. I had a little trouble figuring out who all the people in the trailer were, as they did a brief montage of car designers talking about the many ways Forza Motorsports influenced their tricked out urban designs. Or maybe they were just actors now that I think about it.
For weeks, Gamestop has been keeping xbox fans on the edge of their seats, touting rumors that Hideo Kojima would unveil Metal Gear Solid 4 for the system. Frankly, I thought otherwise, but imagine my surprise when Hideo announced he would be bringing the next installment of the series to the system.

Handsome devil ain't he? At first there was some speculation whether this would be an exclusive, but more information uncovered through a Konami press release memo indicated it would also be coming for PS3 and PC. We'll see what Sony has to say about that tomorrow.
Finally, we learned about project Natal, a full body motion camera device that puts you directly in the middle of the screen in an interactive way that is sure to make Nintendo look twice.
Think of an eyetoy but with a bit more interactivity. With a wave of your hand you can sift through menus on the Xbox menu, chat with friends through a webcam, or interact with dynamic characters capable of recognizing your facial expressions and body movements. We'll go more into this on the next podcast, and I'll have more updates later. Keep an eye out for Day 2 at E3.
